The UFC is back in Abu Dhabi. The promotion is set to host UFC 280 on Saturday night from the now famous Yas Island. The co-main event is headlined by a lightweight title bout between former champion Charles Oliveira and rising contender Islam Makhachev. The pair has won 21 fights in a row and both have completed incredible ground games.

Aside from the main event, the co-feature sees a title in the matchup to catch the fan’s eye. Bantamweight kingpin Aljamine Sterling is set to face former titleholder DJ Dillashaw. It will be Sterling’s second defense of the 135-pound title and the first since his two-fight streak with Petr Yan. Dillashaw underwent knee surgery in 2021 and returned after a two-year USADA suspension.

Another matchup between potential contenders is on the main card as Matuesz Gamrot takes on Beneil Dariush at lightweight. Additionally, welterweight contenders Belal Muhammad and Sean Brady will have plenty of knockouts in the prelim bout.
