Uvalde Police, School District no longer cooperating with Texas shooting investigation: Sources

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District Police Force are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Security’s investigation. Assassination State review of Rob Elementary School and law enforcement response, several law enforcement sources tell ABC News.

The head of the Wolde Police Station and the Wolde Independent School District spokesman did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the ABC news.

According to sources, DPS Director Colonel Steven McGrath held a press conference on Friday and immediately decided to suspend the cooperation. Delayed police entry “Wrong decision” within the classroom and contrary to protocol.

A spokesman for the Texas Department of Homeland Security told ABC News that “the Wolverine Police Department and Wolde CIST Police are cooperating with investigators. Wolde gave the CIST Chief of Police an initial interview, but did not respond to the request.

Last Tuesday’s attack killed 19 children and two adults in the worst school shooting in U.S. history.
